Philadelphia June 29. [Prose account of George III being
persuaded to
substitute round-headed lightening rods for Franklin's sharp
ones and having to return to
sharp points. verse begins at line 18]
While you great George for knowledge hunt,
And sharp conductors change for blunt,
The Nations are out of joint:
Franklin the wise plan pursues
And all your thunder harmless views,
By sticking to the point.
